I’m Bharat S Raj, a technologist with over 8+ years of experience building various AI-based solutions. I enjoy traveling, working with data, and frequently sharing my insights through blogging and writing.
I’m currently a Senior Director for Sutherland’s Agent Augmentation Solutions Team. In this role, I lead a talented team of engineers as we develop cutting-edge Conversational AI and NLP solutions, collaborating with some of the world’s leading brands to deliver impactful projects.
My expertise lies in Conversational AI, where I’ve worked extensively with platforms such as Google CCAI (Dialogflow CX, Agent Assist, Insights), Genesys, Azure Bot Framework, Twilio, and Generative AI technologies like GPT, Claude, and Gemini.
From implementing complex systems using state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and natural language processing techniques to designing intuitive voice and text-based user interfaces, I am passionate about all things Conversational AI.

Career
I began my journey at Sutherland as an intern and quickly progressed to Senior Professional, contributing to application development, solution consulting, and strategic GTM initiatives. Leading ServiceNow-based implementations, I helped modernize ITSM processes and contributed to Sutherland achieving Premier Partner status across Services, Technology, and Service Provider categories.
In 2020, I became the first member of Sutherland’s Conversational AI practice in India. I built and scaled the team, defined architecture and delivery standards, and led end-to-end development of Agent Assist and conversational AI solutions, positioning India as a key global engineering hub. Today, I drive AI partnerships with Google, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Salesforce, LivePerson, and others, delivering enterprise-grade CX solutions with measurable impact.
My leadership combines technical depth with enterprise-scale execution across AI, cloud, and CX platforms. I am a Certified Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and a ServiceNow Implementation Specialist, with extensive experience across GCP, AWS, Azure, and multiple AI and CX platforms, including Dialogflow CX, Amazon Lex, Microsoft Bot Framework, Rasa, Twilio, Genesys, and Generative AI ecosystems like OpenAI, Vertex AI, and Anthropic.
I hold a U.S. patent in real-time conversational metrics prediction (US-12450433-B2), reflecting my focus on applied AI for scalable CX intelligence. I actively contribute to the AI community through Kaggle, GitHub, and thought leadership, with articles and talks reaching 150k+ views globally.
TEDx
My journey with TEDx began in 2015 when I organized a TEDx event in Kochi, sparking a passion for event organization. This passion continued at Great Lakes Institute of Management, where I co-organized TEDxGLIMChennai in 2017 and 2018. In 2019, I took on a unique challenge by organizing TEDxCovelong, the first TEDx event held on the beach. Throughout these experiences, I had the privilege of collaborating with remarkable individuals such as Digital Marketing Blogger Deepak Kanakarju, AI Expert Sudalai Rajkumar and Actress Gautami Tadimalla
My motivation for organizing TEDx events is simple yet profound: to provide opportunities and improve lives. This drive also extends to my blog, where I share my ideas and thoughts with those who care about the world around them. Additionally, I contribute to the TED community by translating TED Talks into Malayalam, making these valuable insights accessible to a wider audience.
Education
I hold a PGDM in Marketing and Analytics from Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai (Gold Medalist) and a BBA from Amity University. My foundation in business and analytics, combined with continuous learning on platforms like Coursera and edX, underpins my approach as a practical AI consultant.
Beyond technology, I am passionate about community building and creating impact through ideas. I have actively organized and co-organized TEDx events, including TEDxCovelong, the first TEDx held on a beach, curating meaningful conversations and engaging diverse speakers. I also consult with startups and SMEs and share insights on AI, CX, and innovation through writing and speaking, reaching global audiences of 150k+ views.
